In our music video there are going to be a few scenes in the video which will require a slow motion feature to be on the camera. An example of this within the music video will be where the 2 younger actors walk off into the sunset. This will be in slow motion and will then dim into darkness.
Below you are able to see the camera that we will be using to film the music video.
After reading the information within the camera description we then realised that this would be the camera that will be used. This is becasue there is a part that I have screenshot above and it says that you are able to film in Super Slo-Motion.
When we got the camera we explored some of the slow motion features within the camera and how well the quality would be when filming what is needed. One problem that we did find when testing the camera was the lighting as the lighting was very dim throughout the whole of our test filming. We will now have to take great care when choosing the location of our filming, but there are ways around bad lighting such as a light box that can be used to light up a face if the face is staying in the same spot. The light box can be seen below.
Above you are able to see the light box and the amount of light that it is actually giving off. On the back of the light where you are able to change the intensity of the light.
The lighting of our music video is a vital and important component of any production as it enables you to see everything that is going on instead of having unwanted shadows. I will also be able to film under great lighting facilities. This is because the lighting in the theatre is good and this is where the music video will be filmed mostly.
